Guidelines and the Application Form for the Entry Visa to Uzbekistan

UNDP Uzbekistan advises that all travellers on official UNDP business trip apply for Uzbek visa only through the Country Office in Tashkent. пїЅPeople often assume that one can apply for the visa directly and quickly through the local Uzbek consulate, but this is not the case.пїЅ In order to issue entry visas, a local consulate has to receive the confirmation/approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tashkent, which in turn contacts the Country Office to receive information.пїЅ

We request that you fill in and send the application form in the next page, as well as the scanned copy of the local passport / UN LP (Laissez-Passer), to Mr. Abdulaziz Kadirov, who is the focal point in our office, at abdulaziz.kadirov@undp.org. The CO will then liaise with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tashkent, and obtain the confirmation number of your application. The Ministry, at the same time, transmits this information to the Uzbek consulate where you will be obtaining the visa.пїЅ We will inform you of the confirmation number, based on which you will approach the local Uzbek consulate and get the visa issued on your passport.

In case youпїЅre coming from a place where there is no Uzbek consulate, it is possible to arrange for obtaining the visa upon arrival, at the Tashkent airport if this is the case, please mention it in your application.

We normally advise that we need at least 10 working days, but sometimes it takes longer - it is unpredictable, but depending on the nature of the mission and the applicantпїЅs nationality, it may take 15 days, or more.пїЅ Therefore it is important that you submit to us the application form and the copies of your passports at your earliest conveniences.

In order to facilitate the process, it is important that the applicants fill in the Application Form in full, including the purpose of the visit.
