This publication of thesis encompasses the results and materials of the Republican conference discussions devoted to the «Implementation of UN Convention on Rights of people with disabilities: international and national experience» organized in August 23, 2011 in the framework of the joint UNDP and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Uzbekistan project - "ACCESS: Promoting Accessibility, Civic Consciousness, Employment, and Social Support for people with disabilities” in Tashkent city. The conference publication represents opinions and approaches in regards to realization of rights of people with disabilities in Uzbekistan of various government bodies, NGOs and international organizations. Each thesis gives situation analysis, describes activities and results and identifies a joint strategy on further implementation of the main provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Uzbekistan.
