The 2nd edition of Glossary of ICT terms in Uzbek language is aimed at building capacity of government officials on ICT issues, increasing awareness of educators, students and ordinary people and their preparation towards ICT usage at all levels, as well as further developing the subject terminology in national language. The Glossary contains more than 4000 modern terms and extended definitions, as well as frequently used abbreviations. A distinctive aspect of the second edition (first edition was released in 2004) is the increased graphical presentation of the terms through the use of more than 450 diagrams, drawings, photographs and logos. Panels giving extra information on history, hardware, the Internet and more are featured throughout the book. It is expected that the Glossary will serve as an essential guide to modern computer terminology and jargon in the country.
