UNDP Uzbekistan Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) 2010-2015

A new Country Programme Action Plan, which marks the beginning of UNDP’s next programme cycle in the country for the period of 2010-2015 have been endorsed in early 2010. The CPAP outlines broad areas of UNDP’s programme activities in Uzbekistan, and provides a summary of specific development targets and outcomes. The adoption of a new CPAP has become the result of intensive consultations between UNDP, national and international partners over the course of last year. Feedback and suggestions gathered during these meetings were incorporated into the final version, thus reflecting key national priorities. read more

Uzbekistan UNDAF 2005-2009 Final Evaluation report

The United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) for 2005-2009 was the first common strategy of the United Nations system in Uzbekistan to assist the Government in meeting the country’s development challenges. This evaluation of the 2005-2009 UNDAF was designed to be a forward looking process to identify what can be learned from this experience that will enable the UN to more effectively harness the successor UNDAF, covering the period 2010-2015, for supporting national development goals and international commitments, such as the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).read more

The bulletin on Human Development for parliamentarians

According to the Human Development Concept, human beings, and not simply economic indicators must be at the core of society’s development. Expansion of human possibilities and more qualitative satisfaction of their needs are the ultimate objectives and criteria driving progress. National Media Campaign : Woman. Born to be Happy

The national media campaign on raising gender awareness is developed by Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, UNDP and UNFPA. Some of the topics covered by the campaign include issues of equal acess to education and profession, participation in decision-making, modern image of Uzbekistani woman, family of 21st century, preventing trafficking of human beings and discrimination. The campaign targets various population groups and consists of TV and radio PSAs, posters and leaflet. read more
