	Addressing Urban Poverty in Uzbekistan in the Context of the Economic Crisis The Publication reviews urbanization trends, particularly trends in urban poverty, and documents the most recent economic trends in light of the global economic and financial crisis. The analysis also includes some medium- and longer-term trends of underlying demographic changes and migration patterns, environmental factors such as the national water supply, and structural changes in agriculture and the economy as a whole. The analytical publication provides policy recommendations on urbanization in general and housing conditions in particular. 	Food Security in Uzbekistan The aim of this publication is to highlight the importance of food security and initiate a discussion concerning this issue in Uzbekistan. The report utilizes official statistics and comprehensive household survey to assess the supply of and demand for food. The publication consists of an introductory review of the concept of food security, followed by chapters analysing food availability and consumption. 	UNDP Uzbekistan Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) 2010-2015 A new Country Programme Action Plan, which marks the beginning of UNDP’s next programme cycle in the country for the period of 2010-2015 have been endorsed in early 2010. The CPAP outlines broad areas of UNDP’s programme activities in Uzbekistan, and provides a summary of specific development targets and outcomes. The adoption of a new CPAP has become the result of intensive consultations between UNDP, national and international partners over the course of last year.
