Innovations Fair 2012

From 3 - 5 of May Tashkent is hosting the annual Innovation Fair with more than 350 unique innovation developments in the area of industry, agriculture, health and pharmaceutics, information technologies, science and education.  United Nations Development Programme is one of the partners of the Fair of innovation ideas, technologies and projects.

In addition to the exhibition of innovation development there will be series of events including seminars on the development of alternative energy, legal and regulatory base of innovation activity, scientific and technological updates and etc.

The fair will conclude with awards ceremony for the best innovation developments in various fields. In addition, the Small Grants Programme of the Global Ecological Fund will also present a list of innovation projects in the area of environment protection selected for grant financing.

Innovation development is one of the key factors of achieving sustainable economic growth, effective use of natural and other resources, preservation of environment, and as a result, raising welfare of population.

United Nations Development Programme in partnership with Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research is implementing a “Support to innovation policy and technology transfer” project working to develop the innovation activity in the country. The project is supporting the Innovation Fair in all organizational efforts.
