The joint UNDP/GEF project on Promoting Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in Uzbekistan in partnership with the State Committee for Architecture and Construction held a seminar-training on managing energy consumption in public buildings.

The seminar-training was attended by building designers, architects, construction and maintenance specialists, representatives of the ministries, academia and research institutions.

During the seminar-training the major project objectives such as revision of building codes, promotion of integrated building design approach, relevant institutional and capacity building activities, and transfer of best practices of emerging low-carbon, energy efficient and renewable energy technologies and equipment were presented.

Recent information on advanced energy management best practices applied internationally and relevant case studies were also shared with the participants.
