To strengthen the CO’s capacity in ensuring smooth project implementation and effective management of mobilized and UNDP regular resources; to free up the time of program staff for upstream activities, as well as to provide coordinated services (namely finance, procurement, HR, training, travel, contracting, asset management, audit) ensuring compliance with regulations & procedures of UNDP the Uzbekistan Country Office Business Centre was established in 2005.
Business Center reforms financial & administrative operations to achieve cost-effective performance, to reduce operational overhead by exploring potential for re-engineering, de-centralization, automation & outsourcing.
It also guides projects staff on the application, interpretation and adaptation of corporate operational rules, procedures and guidelines.
